outlined earlier.
Re the other link idea not working, I suspect the step to "merge" the updated outline with the default one in bookmark.nsf is where that solution goes wrong; I've certainly had mixed results trying to fiddle with end-users bookmark files. And to think bookmarks was a development to wean us off trying to hack the Notes workspace... 8^|
I'm guessing that policies don't even touch this sort of thing (I am only in "play" status with Notes 6.5, and policies are an area I know very little about: we're still on R5 at my day job).
As to your issue, I'm starting to run out of ideas; is the C API feasible at all? I know it's undocumented stuff, but you know, needs must ;-)
